PC Students Lead the Way at Inaugural CREL Fall Forum, Shaping California’s Clean Energy Future
On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the California Renewable Energy Laboratory (CREL) hosted its inaugural Fall Forum at the Bakersfield College Renegade Event Center. This pivotal event brought together leaders from community colleges, industry, government, and community-based organizations for a day dedicated to collaboration and shaping the future of clean energy in California.
We are incredibly proud to highlight the involvement of our own students—Jair Ramirez, Jade Andrade, and Isaac Ceballos—who served as official CREL Student Ambassadors for this significant occasion.
These students played an integral role in the success of the forum. Beyond simply attending, they were the face of the event, welcoming distinguished guests and facilitating activities throughout the day. Their professionalism and engagement showcased the high caliber of leadership developing right here on our campus.
Following the morning sessions, the afternoon offered attendees site visits throughout Kern County to view technological innovations and workforce development in action. The day concluded with the official launch of the new CREL Center of Excellence on Smart Buildings, marking a major step forward for the region's energy sector.
Please join us in congratulating Jair, Jade, and Isaac for their outstanding representation of our college at this statewide event!
